[Mechanism of Action]
1. Mechanism of haemostasis
After contacting the blood and exudate of the wound, this Product partially forms the sticky gel which adheres to and blocks the wound for rapid haemostasis.
2. Mechanism of wound healing
The ingredient of this Product is chitosan derivative which is a polysaccharide with a similar molecular structure to the natural ECM and is prominent in biocompatibility. It has good properties of liquid absorbency and moisturization. This Product is transformed to a soft gel upon absorbing liquid to provide wounds with a moisturizing and simulating ideal healing environment of ECM, and to improve the comfort level of the wounds, relieve pains, facilitate wound repair and healing, and improve the quality of wound recovery.

Prevent adhesion:

Effect 1: Quick hemostasis
Physical aggregation: After contact with blood, the non-woven form is transformed into a high viscoelastic gel, which is closely attached to the wound and effectively physically occludes the bleeding wound to achieve rapid hemostasis.
Charge aggregation: Chitosan cation aggregates red blood cells through charge, adheres to platelets, promotes the release of coagulation factors, and thus stops bleeding.

The component of the yarn, carboxymethyl chitosan, is the only positively charged substance in the biological material, which can trap red blood cells to aggregate and form blood clots.

An open wound (5mmx3mmx2mm) was created in the left lobe of the rat liver to form a bleeding model. The experimental group applied Zhuyi yarn to the wound, and the control group applied yarn as quickly as possible. The hemostatic time and total blood loss (TBL) were recorded.
The experimental results showed that the hemostasis time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group, and the TBL was also smaller.

Efficacy 2: Prevent adhesion
Carboxymethyl chitosan did not increase the collagen secretion level of fibroblasts.
At 24h and 48h, different concentrations of L-CMC did not increase the secretion of hydroxyproline from fibroblasts.
Within 72h, 100μg/ml L-CMC did not increase hydroxyproline secretion.
Carboxymethyl chitosan significantly increased the value of matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP-1).

The effect of anti-adhesion in SD rats was evaluated by anatomy in a 1cm*2cm abrasions model of the abdominal wall in the middle and lower abdomen.
The high adhesion ratio of carboxymethyl chitosan group was lower than that of other groups, indicating better ability to prevent postoperative adhesion.

Effect 3: Effective bacteriostasis
Carboxymethyl chitosan in high concentration can inhibit many kinds of bacteria.

Usage and precautions
Usage method
1. Aseptic packaging, open the inner packaging can be used;
2. This product can be bent and cut into different shapes at will, suitable for irregular tissue wounds;
3. After the bleeding wound is clear, put this product on the bleeding wound and apply the gauze closely to the wound;
4. The bleeding wound does not need to be clean, it can be directly covered.

Matters needing attention
1. Should be strictly aseptic operation, do not use when the package is damaged;
2. Intraspinal indentation is not recommended during spinal surgery.
3. For orthopedic surgery, the bone marrow cavity should be avoided and not in contact with bone cement;
4. When using this product under endoscope, keep the instrument dry, roll the yarn into a roll and send it into the body cavity through Chowka.
