Food Grade Chitosan for Animal Feed Additives

Food grade chitosan is generally made of clean shrimp shell and crab shell as the basic raw materials. Its production technology and processing environment are in accordance with food grade standards.

Main uses of food-grade chitosan (for feed additives) :
Often exported to foreign countries, used as pet feed additives. It can also be used as animal feed for pigs, cows and sheep, as well as bait for fish and shrimp. For example, the amount added in the feed is 0.5%. Many special feed formulations in Japan, South Korea and other countries require chitosan to be added in a certain proportion. However, due to the relatively high price of chitosan, chitosan is generally only applied to high-end feed, and the application of low-end feed is limited due to the impact of price factors.

Chitosan oligosaccharides, the downstream product of chitosan, are also widely used as feed additives, which can improve the survival rate of aquatic animals, improve the survival rate of piglets, accelerate the growth rate of animals and enhance immunity.
